Playas en Ecuador!

Another message from uncle travelling Mac!

After a breathtaking vacation with my wonderful boyfriend, my sister and her husband in Peru, we took a tear dripping goodbye and Inger Marie and me went off to Guyaquil, Equador, two days ago. From there we took a bus out to the famous beaches of the coast- now we are situated in Montañita- which is a great surfers paradise and have young people visiting from all over the world. Today we have been to the beach, where IM took a fake tattoo ("courage" in chinese), we drank coconut milk from a coconut and ate fresh mango meanwhile the sun fried our skin. The waves are amazingly big (but actually not like in Lima, Amund!) so we stood for a while in the shallow water, enjoying the "yakussi"(boblebad) which was created by the foaming water. In the afternoon we went relaxing in the hammocks (hengekoyene) that are in our hotel, towards the ocean... How beautiful wasnt that!

We are going to enjoy two more days in our hotel called Brisa del Mar (lonely planet) before we move on to Lima and from there the next day with bus for 12 hours towards Arequipa and the midfield course with the other Act Nowers in South America. So long farewell!

!Vacaciònes!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!

My sister, her husband Jon Erik, my Amund and myself are at the moment in Puno by the lake Titicaca! Really pretty up here in the highlands. We arrived today, after leaving Cuzco. The 4 day inka trail was tough but really beautiful- I really enjoyed the beautiful nature, meeting people from all the world and watch the clouds rise and there was the incredible Macciu Picchu! Amazing. Unforgettable. We spent new years at 3600 metres above sea level- the camping site was surronded with great mountains. Unfortunately we fell asleep, all of us, before 12 o`clock, because that day we had walked a mountain of 4200 metres... A very different new years. I hope you all had a good time and that you managed to stay awake!

The days of vacacions have been exciting, nice with some change from the everyday in Chota. We have all been a little sick, but at the moment only my boyfriend is the one staying in bed, poor boy! We will see the doctor tomorrow so I think he will be fine. Its really good to have him here, and I hope he will get to enjoy the days we will spend on the coast- next will be Pisco I think. I look forward to sun and beaches!
